Founded by Aimee Gomez, runway producer and fashion industry expert, STEM X Fashion was born from a simple observation: fashion is one of the world’s most aspirational industries, yet many young people don’t recognise the connection between their passion for fashion and the STEM skills shaping its future.
With experience spanning the BBC’s Share Your Story schools tour, the TEDx stage and collaborations with leading organisations across fashion, education and the creative industries, STEM X Fashion brings real-world industry knowledge into the classroom. This unique combination of industry insight, educational experience and creative thinking positions STEM X Fashion to connect classroom learning with the skills, innovation and careers shaping tomorrow’s world.
We’ve had STEM X Fashion into school several times now for a few different workshops, and the children have really enjoyed them. There’s always plenty for them to get involved in, and they’ve learned a lot through the hands-on activities. The workshops have also got them thinking and asking questions about different careers. They particularly enjoyed the tie-dye workshop, and it was lovely for them to take home something they’d made themselves.
One hour of hands-on learning for up to 30 students, with materials and travel within 20 miles of Luton included. Four-workshop programmes and bespoke experiences are priced around your school, so tell us what you have in mind and we will quote.
